Hit Parade: Afendulov Pops 5 Hits Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 Who needs batting practice? Alek Afendulov of Astoria apparently doesn't as he battered Winston with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 16-4 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 5 day... will my name be in the record books now?" Alek Afendulov singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. So far this season Afendulov is batting .333 with 3 home runs, 16 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 33 hits in 99 at-bats, 17 walks and a .427 OBP. Afendulov has played in 27 games. |
