Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Kimura
Tuesday, August 31st, 2021
Tokimasa Kimura of the Reno Raiders just keeps going and going. The hot-hitting center fielder went 2-for-4 in his team's 8-6 victory over the Minneapolis Freeze at The Ice Box and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"He is definitely on a roll right now" said a Freeze pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway."
When asked about his performance, Kimura said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." Tokimasa Kimura struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
This season in 23 games, Kimura has hit at a .333 clip with 31 hits, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
