Mack Blisters Bronx
Tuesday, July 6th, 2021
After the Billings 17-6 victory over Bronx and his 5-hit day center fielder Kel Mack told BNN beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game are very good. Three or four hits even better, five or more are out of sight ... and if it is in pro ball, it is really something special." The 26-year-old player gained that distinction today at Cobb Field with a spectacular 5 for 6 game against the Bronx Bombers. The skipper of the Mustangs spoke glowingly of Mack, telling BNN writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Kel did that to perfection today." Kel Mack singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This year Mack is hitting .340 with 55 hits, 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and has scored 26 runs.
