Jenkins Takes Charge, Blanks Detroit Sunday, June 20th, 2021 According to Ryan Jenkins of the Joplin Fireballs, "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location." He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 7-0 victory over Detroit. He blanked them on a 3-hitter, allowed no walks and had 7 strikeouts. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Jenkins said. His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again." So far this season Jenkins has a 3-7 record with a 5.59 ERA. |
