BCL #1 Pitcher in May is Joplin's Mullen Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 There's something about a young rookie winning the Blake Camden League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Wes Mullen, a 27-year-old starter for the Joplin Fireballs. In May, he topped off the month with a 3-0 mark and 1.09 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 33 innings, fanned 29 and held opposing teams to a .159 average. This season Mullen has 4 wins and 3 losses and a 3.10 ERA. |
