Big Day for Bowman: Swats 5 Hits Tuesday, May 18th, 2021 Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at The Firepit when Will Bowman of Acapulco scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Joplin Fireballs. He walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Banditos get by the Fireballs 5-1. In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the first baseman of the Banditos said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-5. I could get used to a lot of days like this one." Will Bowman hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Bowman has banged out 43 hits in 116 at-bats for a .371 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .503 pace and his totals also include 23 RBIs and 29 runs scored. |
