Gibbs Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Sunday, May 16th, 2021 Chalk up another one for Coronado first baseman Jerry Gibbs. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Gibbs went 2-for-5 today's game at Golden Fleece Park. However, his club was defeated 13-9 by Astoria. Jerry Gibbs hit a two-run home run off Ronnie Haynes in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year Gibbs has hit at a .356 pace and produced 38 RBIs, 9 home runs and scored 22 runs. |
