Sáenz Socks it to Sabercats, Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at Mystic Lake Stadium when Dani Sáenz of Albuquerque scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Mdewanketon Sabercats. He walloped 5 hits in 6 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Cacti get by the Sabercats 6-4. In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the center fielder of the Cacti said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-6. I could get used to a lot of days like this one." Dani Sáenz singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. For the season Sáenz is batting .469 with 15 hits and no home runs. He has scored 9 times and batted in 3. |
