Atkinson Chosen RCL's Best Pitcher Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 The Cy Young Award for 2023 has been presented and the Roberto Clemente League winner is Anthony Atkinson of So Cal. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Atkinson. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Republic star told reporters. Atkinson excelled with an impressive 25-2 record in 32 starts. In 209 innings he yielded 201 hits and 27 walks, while striking out 195 and compiling a fine 2.84 ERA. Kinnosuke Sato of the Montreal Bandits finished second in voting, while Bruce Lowe of the Montreal Bandits finished third. |
