Great Day for White -- 5 Hits Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 It was a parade of hits for Doug White of the New York Mafia, one right after another. He ravaged the Manhattan Beach Patriots for 5 hits in his 6 at-bats. But the Patriots rose to the occasion and rained on his parade with a 11-10 win. "White was really good ... we were just a little better," said the Patriots manager in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, if we win." Doug White singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Ramiro Ortega in the 6th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Presently White is batting .336 and has collected 42 home runs, 131 RBIs, .385 OBP and scored 113 runs. |
