Hot Bat Cooled, Nishikawa Hitless Against Patriots Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Kata Nishikawa as he saw his 27-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 5 at-bats at the hands of the Patriots. It wasn't all bad for the 28-year-old right fielder and the Brooklyn Black Knights, as they defeated Manhattan Beach 5-4 at Blue Ivy Stadium. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Nishikawa laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." This year Nishikawa is hitting .351 with 175 hits, 17 home runs, 73 RBIs and has scored 107 runs. |
