Rizvi Rocks Jesters for 3 HRs Sunday, August 20th, 2023 Nadir Rizvi of the Berserkers went on a hitting spree at The Frozen Tundra today and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a 11-10 loss to the Jersey Jesters. Rizvi got his name in the league record book, but failed to win the game. The Minnesota left fielder had quite a game as he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs. His teammates were saddened by the loss, saying Rizvi more than did his part, but they didn't do theirs. After his three-home run game he said this to the press: "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me. I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." Nadir Rizvi hit a two-run home run off Kevin Sampson in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Kevin Sampson in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Lonnie Powell in the 9th. On the year Rizvi is hitting .296 with 91 hits, 20 home runs, 60 RBIs, .356 OBP and has scored 50 runs. |
