North Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 20
Saturday, August 12th, 2023
Tornadoes center fielder Oliver North went 0-for-4 today in Kansas City's 6-5 triumph over the Eureka Hornets, snapping his 20-game hitting streak.

North spoke to BNN after the game and said, "I knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later. I just would have preferred later."

When he made an out in his last chance at bat, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout.

The Hornets manager shrugged off the streak. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," he said. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."

This year North is hitting .328, produced 46 RBIs and 3 home runs, scored 94 times and gotten on base at a .435 rate.
