Bad News for Beavers, Rúbio Injured Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 "I'm frustrated right now," said Portland reliever Carlos Rúbio. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Beavers, that's where he will be spending 4 months. Rúbio suffered a torn labrum in today's game against Jacksonville while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." Rúbio has earned 2 saves and a 8-6 mark this season with a 5.10 earned run average in 47 relief appearances. He has worked 54.2 innings, yielded 64 hits, struck out 44 batters and walked 13. |
