5 Hits for Beavers Thompson Sunday, August 6th, 2023 Today the Beavers downed the Toreros 11-5 as Pat Thompson sprayed hits all over Field de Los Layendas in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The Portland second baseman said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Pat Thompson tripled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
