Owens Named Newcomer of the Month Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 The Thurman Munson League made the official announcement today. The Rookie of the Month trophy went to Dominic Owens of Maple. He was singled out as the premier rookie in July. Last month the 28-year-old Marauders left fielder played in 24 games and hit .296 with 6 doubles, no triples and no home runs. Owens also scored 14 times and drove in 8 runs. In his stats this season, Owens has posted a batting average of .307 with 126 hits in 410 at-bats, 2 home runs and 29 RBIs. He has also scored 60 runs, walked 33 times and compiled a .359 OBP. |
