And that is just what Dominic Owens did all month long to net the Thurman Munson League Rookie of the Month Award. In May he slapped 38 hits in 112 at-bats for a .339 batting average. Owens also racked up 1 home run, 11 RBIs, and 18 runs scored. For the season Owens has produced 70 hits in 211 at-bats for a .332 average with 1 home run and gotten on base at a .365 clip. |
