Hit Parade: Walker Gets Cycle
Wednesday, April 26th, 2023
Anthony Walker produced one of the rarest feats in baseball today when he hit for the cycle against the Maple Marauders in the San Francisco 10-6 win at Golden Gate Park.

Afterward, Walker acknowledged that his accomplishment was special, but he was more interested in helping the Earthquakes just win some ballgames. At the postgame press conference, he said, "Maybe one day I'll look back on this day with more meaning, but right now I just want to come out tomorrow and put some good swings on the ball, get a few hits and help my club win another game."

On his historic day, he went 4-4 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored -- and also got a spot in the league record books. Maybe one day way down the road he will get out the record book and reminisce about his extra special day in baseball.

Anthony Walker singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off John Martin in the 7th.

Walker is batting .330 this year with 3 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 29 hits in 88 at-bats.
