Larrison Smacks 5 Hits for Black Knights
Friday, April 21st, 2023
It was a hits blitz for Ray Larrison at Don Corleone Park. The Brooklyn Black Knights right fielder tore into New York for 5 hits in 7 at-bats to pace the Black Knights to a 24-1 victory and wrote his name into the baseball record book. The manager for the Mafia bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Larrison, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game." Ray Larrison flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Manuel Romero in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
This season Larrison is batting .398 with 33 hits, 5 home runs, 21 RBIs, 7 walks, .457 OBP and has scored 21 runs. He has played in 18 games.
