Nishikawa Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Friday, April 21st, 2023 Brooklyn right fielder Kata Nishikawa put on quite a show at Don Corleone Park with a big 5-hit day in the 24-1 victory over the New York Mafia. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 7.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too." Kata Nishikawa grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Nishikawa is batting .350 with 3 home runs. |
