McGowan Terrific, Takes RCL Silver Slugger Award Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 When it came to hitting the baseball, Steve McGowan had few peers in the Roberto Clemente League this year. The gifted right fielder for Manhatten Beach tagged opposing pitchers for a .337 average and was voted the Silver Slugger Award for 2022. Included in his season stats were 210 hits, 33 doubles, 1 triple, 50 home runs, 123 runs scored and 127 RBIs.Kiyonobu Yamasaki of the Duke City Danger finished second in voting, while Mike Barnes of the Montreal Bandits finished third. |
