Roberto Clemente League Picks September's Best Batter Saturday, October 1st, 2022 Beach balls were coming in at Mike Barnes in September and he banged, bashed and blasted them all over the park, putting up a .343 batting average and hauling in the Roberto Clemente League Batter of the Month trophy. The 27-year-old Montreal left fielder collected 37 hits last month in 27 games. He put up 13 home runs, 29 RBIs and 26 runs scored. Barnes also drew 10 walks and compiled a .410 on-base percentage. Barnes is batting at a .317 pace this season, picking up 167 hits in 527 at-bats with 41 home runs, 123 RBIs and 109 runs scored. |
