Brown Blisters San Diego Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Bob Brown showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the San Diego Hops and helped the Minnesota Berserkers beat them 9-8. The manager for the Hops told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Brown keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Bob Brown singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Brown is hitting .328 for the season with 17 home runs, 79 RBIs and 88 runs scored. He has 188 hits in 573 at-bats and played in 136 games. |
