Wednesday, September 21st, 2022
Mike Phelps, shortstop for the Pax River Psychos, had a whale of a game, rocketing three balls out of The Frozen Tundra against the Minnesota Berserkers today in their 9-6 victory.
After the game he said, "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them. The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves... all three were mistakes."
For the game Phelps was 3-4 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
Phelps added, "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives. Today I found the home run stroke."
Mike Phelps hit a two-run home run off Franklin Cox in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Franklin Cox in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Pablo Alomar in the 7th.
