Danger Left Fielder Frend Injured Saturday, September 10th, 2022 The Duke City Danger will have to make do without Steve Frend for 6-7 weeks. He suffered a strained hip muscle while running the bases in the game today against the Montreal Bandits. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the left fielder. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." This season Frend has delivered 159 hits in 466 at-bats for a .341 average with 24 home runs. He is getting on base at a .443 clip and his totals also include 78 RBIs and 102 runs scored. This year Frend has played in 128 games. |
