Clark Goes 5-5 Friday, September 2nd, 2022 On top of the New York hit parade today was Matt Clark. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Mafia to a 11-5 victory over the Dallas Texans. The sweet swinging catcher told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Texans wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Matt Clark singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Ruíz in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This year Clark is batting .260 with 8 home runs. |
