Big Day for Romo: Swats 5 Hits Friday, August 19th, 2022 The Hops whipped the Bombers 11-7 at Bomber Ballpark and Ricardo Romo had a big hand in the win. The Hops left fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Romo and a tough day for South Carolina. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Romo delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league. Ricardo Romo singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Tim Harris in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Currently Romo has 7 home runs and a .364 batting average. |
