League Suspends Abbott and Phillips for Brawl Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 The league commissioner's office had responded quickly to yesterday's major incident at Bomber Ballpark involving the Bombers Ken Abbott and the Berserkers James Phillips. Both players have been given 3-game suspensions for violation of the league code of conduct. The suspensions will be effective immediately. Abbott is hitting .283 in 2022 with 47 RBIs and 5 home runs. Phillips has compiled an ERA of 8.71 so far this season, winning 1 games with no losses and no saves. In 17 relief appearances he has hurled 20.2 innings, yielded 32 hits and struck out 15. Opposing hitters have batted .352 against Phillips. |
