Washington's José Leal Injured
Monday, August 15th, 2022
"I'm frustrated right now," said Washington starting pitcher José Leal. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Federals, that's where he will be spending 10 months. Leal suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament in today's game against San Francisco while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be."
On the year Leal has compiled a 4-11 mark with a 5.46 ERA.
