Clubs looking to pawn off that overpaid superstar or deal the sure-to-leave free agent will be putting their bargaining skills to the test as other clubs, hoping to snag a few young players prepare to receive a king's ransom. The intrigue, the mystery, the media camped at league headquarters to catch those down-to-the-wire deals, there is no greater day in baseball. Past this date, players can only be traded if they have cleared waivers. Normal trades are allowed again once the playoffs are over and the offseason begins. |
