Trouble in Seattle, Waller Suffers Setback
Thursday, June 23rd, 2022
Martin Waller is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a strained oblique. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Sasquatch sent the 25-year-old shortstop back to the doctors for reexamination. Waller told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Waller will now miss a minimum of 2 weeks.
This year Waller is hitting .294, produced 39 RBIs and 8 home runs, scored 32 times and gotten on base at a .377 rate.
