Week's Premier Player: Jacksonville's Vázquez Monday, June 20th, 2022 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Thurman Munson League, but last week Ángel Vázquez of the Jacksonville Jacks reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Vázquez rocked opposing pitching for a .522 average (12-23), 2 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Vázquez is batting .331 with 80 hits, 11 home runs, 51 RBIs, .385 OBP and has scored 42 runs. |
