Kansas City's Armstrong Injured, Out of Lineup
Sunday, May 22nd, 2022
The Kansas City Tornadoes were dealt a severe blow when Rodney Armstrong was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Las Vegas Jokers. After the game, the team trainer reported Armstrong might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 30-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a damaged elbow ligament. They indicated it would take Armstrong at least 10-11 months to heal.

Presently Armstrong has a 1-5 mark in 9 starts with a 7.20 ERA. He has given up 70 hits in 45 innings, struck out 27 and issued 10 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .357 batting average against him.
