Silva 5-5 for San Francisco Monday, May 9th, 2022 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what San Francisco first baseman César Silva said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the New York Mafia at Golden Gate Park. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Earthquakes had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 9-1. César Silva hit a solo-shot off Brad Lyons in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Silva is hitting .321 this season with 4 home runs, 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 34 hits in 106 at-bats. |
