Moreno Socks it to Bombers, Cracks 5 Hits Monday, April 4th, 2022 All game long Cabo San Lucas's Carlos Moreno was rattling the walls at Field de Los Layendas and banging out base hits against the South Carolina Bombers. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Toreros had a 9-8 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 27-year-old right fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Carlos Moreno singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Salvo Bernardi in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Bob Taylor in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Vicente Otero in the 11th. |
