Partners Ruíz and Sato Debut New Steakhouse Friday, December 24th, 2021 Teammates Carlos Ruíz and Nakamaro Sato have more in common than a baseball uniform. It has been a dream of both players to open their own restaurant for several years. Today, that shared dream became a reality as they opened the doors of their new steakhouse, aptly named Ruíz and Sato's. "We wanted to combine our love of food with our love of baseball to create a fun yet classy dining experience that the whole family can enjoy," explained Ruíz. Ruíz and Sato's menu includes steak and other cuts of meat, of course, but also features ballpark-inspired cuisine. The walls are adorned with Texans memorabilia and other mementos from both Ruíz and Sato's playing careers. "If you're into baseball nostalgia or just love great food in a friendly atmosphere, this is going to be the place for you!" said Sato. Plus, you might just bump into the one of the proprietors. "Oh yeah, we'll be in here a lot," Ruíz grinned. "One of us has always gotta be covering the bag." |
