Georgia Catcher Named TML's Best Rookie Friday, November 12th, 2021 The brightest new star in the Thurman Munson League has been named. The 2021 Rookie of the Year Award has been handed out to Georgia's catcher Manuel Rivera, who outshined all his first-year peers in the balloting and on the diamond. He hit .316 for the Georgia Grays, racking up 186 hits, 29 home runs, 102 RBIs, and 95 runs scored to capture the trophy.Austin Burnett of the Las Vegas Jokers finished second in voting, while Ángel Vázquez of the Jacksonville Jacks finished third. |
