Big Month for TML Rookie Friday, October 1st, 2021 Yes, Austin Burnett is just a rookie. But he is a special rookie. Today the 24-year-old Las Vegas starter was awarded the Thurman Munson League Rookie of the Month trophy for his standout performance in September. He dominated the rookie class, registering 5 wins and no losses in 5 starts with 18 strikeouts in 34.2 innings and a 2.60 ERA. Not bad for a first-year man. Burnett has made 32 starts, tossed 190 innings, struck out 107 batters and walked 85. His record is 14-11 with a 3.60 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .254 batting average. |
