Toreros McDonald Out of Action Sunday, September 19th, 2021 The Cabo San Lucas Toreros were dealt a severe blow when Bryan McDonald was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the San Francisco Earthquakes. After the game, the team trainer reported McDonald might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 26-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. They indicated it would take McDonald at least 13 months to heal. McDonald has made 34 starts, tossed 201.2 innings, struck out 136 batters and walked 79. His record is 11-12 with a 4.60 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .282 batting average. |
