5-Hit Game for García
Thursday, August 12th, 2021
It was a sensational day at the plate for Octávio García as he led the charge to a 12-0 win over the Outlaws. The New York first baseman was pure misery for the Brooklyn pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Outlaws told BNN reporters after the game, "García put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Octávio García doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 6th.
So far this season, García has recorded a .340 batting average with 143 hits, 25 home runs, 78 RBIs, 84 runs scored and a .397 OBP.
