García Slams 5 Hits for Georgia Friday, May 21st, 2021 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Júlio García showed how it's done as he went 5 for 7 against the Jacksonville Jacks and helped the Georgia Grays beat them 5-4. The manager for the Jacks told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If García keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Júlio García struck out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and hit an RBI double in the 14th. Currently García is hitting .406 and has collected 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 6 times, while playing in 20 games. |
