bin Su'ud Wins Best CL Pitcher Sunday, August 1st, 2021 There's something about a young rookie winning the Central League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Almas bin Su'ud, a 16-year-old starter for the Yokohama Bay Stars. In July, he topped off the month with a 3-1 mark and 2.25 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 24 innings, fanned 26 and held opposing teams to a .228 average. On the season bin Su'ud has compiled a 3-4 mark with a 3.25 ERA in 7 starts. In pitching 36 innings he has 39 strikeouts and 11 walks while limiting the opposition to a .289 batting average. |
