Vuppula Keeps Hit Streak Alive Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 Apupa Vuppula continues to hit at a blistering pace. For 31 straight games he has had at least one hit. Vuppula did it again today with 2 hits in the Yomiuri triumph over Yokohama. The Giants defeated the Bay Stars 10-3 at Ballpark of Yamagata College. Apupa Vuppula struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Mei Sang in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. So far this season Vuppula has gotten 90 hits in 232 at-bats for a .388 batting average with 4 home runs. His stats include 35 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has played in 56 games. |
