Hitting Streak Still Alive for Vuppula Saturday, May 29th, 2021 Every day everyone is checking up on Apupa Vuppula to see if he got a hit to keep his hitting streak alive. Today's answer is "yes." He did it with a 3-5 day against the Carp. The Yomiuri Giants second baseman stretched the streak to 25 games in his team's 12-6 triumph over the Hiroshima Toyo Carp at Ballpark of Yamagata College. Apupa Vuppula singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. Currently Vuppula has 3 home runs and a .389 batting average. |
