Chunichi Sources Say Ortega Gone as Manager Friday, May 21st, 2021 When news broke over the firing of Miguel Ortega, members of the Chunichi Dragons did not seem disappointed. One player who asked not to be named said, "It's been heading down this road for a while now. He lost the players, lost the coaches, and lost the fans." When pressed for an opinion on which direction the team should head in looking for a new manager, the same player suggested, "Someone players will listen to."
