CL Starter of the Month Goes to Xia Saturday, May 1st, 2021 Cheng-qian Xia hated to see April turn to May. And who could blame him? The 17-year-old hurler piled up 3 wins and no losses for the Bay Stars last month and won the Central League Pitcher of the Month award for his efforts. Xia stymied opposing batters on 16 base hits and a .178 batting average. He rang up 23 strikeouts in 25 innings of work, surrendered 10 walks and fashioned a sparkling 1.44 ERA. |
