5-Hit Barrage by Frank
Monday, May 10th, 2021
Cornell Frank really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Ballpark of Chilliwack College, the Niagara third baseman blistered the Victoria Capitals for 5 hits in 7 at-bats to pace his club to a 33-2 victory. "Frank was too tough to get out today," the Capitals skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Cornell Frank singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Bravo in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a two-run triple in the 7th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Chris Schmidt in the 9th.
So far this season Frank has put up a .335 batting average with 79 hits, 21 home runs and 68 RBIs.
