Green Raps 3 Homers Against Royales
Saturday, April 24th, 2021
"It seems kinda odd, you know. I mean hitting three home runs in one game should be enough to win a game, right?" said a somewhat dejected Gregg Green today after his club's 11-9 defeat to Montreal.

"I guess that's why they call it a team sport. Tomorrow I might strike out four times and other guys pick me up and we win. It takes more than one guy to get a win."

The 16-year-old Niagara right fielder had a fantastic day against the Montreal Royales -- 3 homers, 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs, and 3 scored.

There were no complaints from the Royales locker room after the game, however. "That guy really had a game, didn't he? Luckily we were able to pretty much shut down the rest of the team," one of the Montreal players told the reporters. "We feel good about getting out of here with the win!"

Gregg Green hit a two-run home run off Troy Clay in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Troy Clay in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Matthew Mowbray in the 5th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

In 33 games this year Green has posted a .455 average and put up these numbers: 16 home runs, 43 RBIs and 41 runs scored.
