Great Day for Petit -- 6 Hits
Thursday, April 22nd, 2021
Next time the Capitals might think twice about pitching to Jean-Claude Petit. Today at Blue Wings Ballpark the Trois-Rivieres second baseman really burned Victoria pitching, going 6-for-6 in the Saints 42-4 triumph. "When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Jean-Claude Petit hit a three-run home run off Lynn Boucher in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Pablo León in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Javier Vázquez in the 5th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th.
A look at his current stats shows Petit with a .393 average, 16 home runs, 60 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has played in 40 games.
