Petit Socks it to Victoria 3 Times Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 Every now and then, the right things happen at the right time. Jean-Claude Petit discovered that when he smashed three homers at Blue Wings Ballpark during today's 42-4 win over the Victoria Capitals. The Trois-Rivieres second baseman said in the postgame interview, "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them. The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Petit finished the day with 6 hits in 6 at-bats and 15 RBIs. Jean-Claude Petit hit a three-run home run off Lynn Boucher in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Pablo León in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Javier Vázquez in the 5th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th. This season Petit is hitting .393 with 16 home runs. |
